New report radar mapping mining Africa
The Institute for Environmental Security (IES) has published the results a small SarVision study on the use of (radar) satellite monitoring for the detection of mining impact in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Editorial work on mining and conflict and GIS mapping work was lead by Dr. Patrice Yamba T. Kantu, a geologist and RS/GIS expert member of the Congo Forest Expert Group.
