High-level Papua Development Partners Meeting
SarVision was invited by the provincial government of Papua to participate in the Papua Development Partner's Meeting in Jayapura 15 -18 February.
A side-meeting was organised by Dinas Kehutanan and SarVision with the following purpose: (1) to follow up on previous contacts after meeting with the Papua Governor, (2) to present WUR-SarVision progress on radar based monitoring to other technical staff and stakeholders, (3) to discuss needs and expectations, and further steps to realise collaboration.
Participants included technical staff provincial forest service DINAS Kehutanan Papua, representatives of parliament and civil society groups, and conservation organisations including Greenpeace, WWF and Conservation International.
